I absolutely LOVE Fast Eddies. I can't comment on many of their dishes because out of the 20+ times I've been there, I've always got the same thing, "give me a #1 combo please"! Love their shaved pit beef sandwich and board walk fries. They have all the fixings too. Horseradish for by sandwich and vinegar and Old Bay for my fries! My only complaint is that they are so far from my house! Spend the extra $3 and go to Fast Eddies instead of some cheap fast-food chain, you WON'T be disappointed!

I got the bbq pork sandwich and my wife got the pit beef sandwich. We each ate half of both sandwiches and both were really really good. The prices were cheap, so this deserves a 5 stars. Note - make sure you put the bbq sauce on the sandwiches!

Poor time management for catering the order for 1200 is over an hour late and party has started. Brought out condiments, Cole slaw, and potato salad to sit in the heat when order wasn't ready had to tell them to keep in cooler until order was done. Pathetic will never use again

Solid sandwiches, fries are fresh cut and crispy, the only reason I knocked it down a star was because a second visit, I got the ribs as recommended by a worker......they took about 25 minutes and were not worth the money at all! I will stick to the sandwich combos from now on, but I will def be going back, just to be clear!

This no-frills spot is easy to miss. It's in a tiny strip center right beyond a large Royal Farms gas station/convenient mart and to get there you have to turn in before you see Fast Eddie's. We weren't looking for it, we just spotted it so we had to u-turn on Route 40 to even get in. We expected it to pretty much only offer pit beef but it had all kinds of food options: pit beef, turkey and ham; pork BBQ; sausages, burgers and more. They also had lots of sides: fries, slaw, spiced apples, etc. Their menu looked so good I thought it'd be hard to choose but they took the problem away: they offer options to get 2 meats ("Twist") or 3 meats ("Trio"). I got a pit ham & turkey twist and my husband got a pit beef & pork BBQ twist. They also offer a bunch of meal combos. In addition to ordering to-go, you could also eat inside or outside. Our food was prepped to order, and was deelish. The meats were nice and moist with great smokey flavor. The fries were nicely crisped and seasoned. We dabbled with their selection of sauces, settling on our favorites. Servers were pleasant and the facility was clean. Wholly enjoyed our fast-but-not-fast-food meal!

I had the beef sandwiches 3x at Eddie's before ordering their party platters for a special party for 90 people. Angie was excellent with follow up and helping me pick what would be best for my group. As always I was worried about having enough food for everyone. My group are big appetite people. Everything was absolutely terrific. From the organizing of the menu to picking up the food. Everyone was terrific. When my gang saw the food the first thing they said was, " I know where this came from--Eddie's" I received numerous compliments on how great the food was and how everyone loved it. We had food left over and everyone had more than enough to eat. Everything was packaged very nice. I would high recommend Eddies food and party platters to everyone. The price was more than reasonable and we had more than enough food. Great Job! Lori A. North East, MD

Loved the pit beef with BBQ sauce and the BBQ pulled pork! Kids menu is more than a toddler eat (which is great). And they really are FAST.

Let me start by saying that pit beef ratings are intensely personal. People have wide ranges of what they like or expect. So I will tell you my criteria as I did when I reviewed Fast Eddie's in Fallston. I am a pit beef purist. It has to be beef, open flame, burnt ends available, no over done smoke, and the ability to order medium that is really medium. It has to be sliced to order and It also has to come on a good quality roll, which gets steamed when the whole sandwich is wrapped in foil. So this review is only for the pit beef. A high quality pit beef sandwich is a combination of good quality meat, the right preparation, AND the skill of the person cooking and slicing the meat! Fast Eddie's in Northeast nails it. Each time I've gone, I've noticed the expertise of the guy behind the knife and I've gotten exactly what I asked for, tender, medium pit beef. Great flavor, no gristle, no overdone smoke flavor. Just perfect pit beef! And if you have your dog in the car, they may have a few scraps for him too! No charge! I would not change a single thing! I know they are under the same ownership as the Fallston location, but this one is cleaner, has an inside sit down area and I believe has the better carving skills.

Glad I was just visiting the area because I would not go back. I heard all about Pit Beef from the Food Network, checked the reviews and tried it. The beef sandwich was just ah. Not much taste to the beef. The fries, looked hand cut, but were so soggy, fresh cut fries need to be fried twice, these were definitely not. Should have gone to one of the steak places in town.

Oooo...the beef sandwich was nice. Food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Nice little place with friendly service.

Stopped in last night just past 7:30. The closing time was 8. The floor was being mopped and the crew was obviously ready to go home. I ordered my usual beef and turkey with sides to go. The condiments were down to just BBQ and one other item. The crew kept talking about leaving. It must have been a rough day. I got home to discover that I had 2 beef sandwiches. I prefer turkey. The beef was chewy to the point of not being edible. Both sandwiches were thrown away. The chicken fingers were so over cooked that they were almost saw dust. The curly fries were great. A beef sandwich should not be like eating chewy meat. This was disappointing and I won't go back soon. There are other good choices. I hope the owner reads this and does something.

Atmosphere isn't much to look at but that isn't a deterrent. (Americana meets an ill placed Dali poster??) Best pit beef I've ever had. It's always tender and juicy and plenty of it. Fresh 'ocean style' fries. Good selection of sauces and toppings--- Love the fresh horseradish on my sandwich. Great place to stop in for lunch. Easily overlooked as it's in a dismal small strip but not to be missed for great, affordable food, fast.

I love this place having eaten here about four times now. I usually go for the sandwich/fries combos having tried the Pork BBQ and Beef Briscket. Everything is great including the staff there! I guess this is one of the little lesser known places in North East since it isn't real fancy but I love it! BTW... Pork BBQ rules

A hidden gem. While trying to avoid I95 traffic between NYC and DC, my party of four hopped off the highway and navigated our way parallel. Fearing a dining purgatory of chain restaurants, we frantically searched for an alternative. Luckily, this place was open on a Sunday evening. Not much to look at, they have it where it counts: good Maryland Pit Beef. Friendly staff, and very good, fresh, real potato french fries. Fresh prepared horseradish and cut onions. A Maryland classic, on a good detour around the Delaware tolls. I recommend it if in thearea, or just passing through. Map location on Yelp is incorrect, but close. Its in the 1980 Block of West Pulaski Highway (40) near the interestion of Mechanics Valley Rd.

Fabulous beef, nice hostess with tolerable piercings, patriotic decor. Not great for vegetarians, but better than some mozzarella garbage at Panera.

I used to have a shop down the road from FA. We would get lunch several times a month. The food was always good. The order takers are always nice. Now that my shop is in Elkton we don't get to eat at Fast Eddies too much, maybe one day we can get a Fast eddies in Elkton.
(5)Allison G.
Fast Eddies used to be a good place to eat. In the last few years the food and service quality has gone down drastically. It seems like they're using lower quality beef than before, the fries are always soggy, and everything they sell that is not the "pit" meats or fries are direct from a supplier thrown in a fryer or microwave. The service is absolutely terrible. Whenever I call ahead to order the food is never ready. The last time we went was the straw that broke the camel's back. Called ahead to order wings, the kid on the phone said, "Ok, it will be about......they'll be ready if you...when you show up they'll be ready." So we waited about twenty minutes, headed over, waited in line for another 10 minutes, listened to the cashier call out in frustration to the customers that she would really appreciate some 5's and 1's. (What restaurant isn't prepared with ample 5's and 1's on a Saturday night?) Then when the kids in front of us ordered wings, I heard the cooks say that it's going to be a few minutes, unless they use the 30 wings from the phone order. We get up the cash register and the cashier lies to us saying they haven't started cooking them yet because we didn't tell them what flavor we wanted! It's your job to ask for flavor and I just heard you say they were done but you were giving them to someone else! They asked if we wanted to wait, we did not. Don't waste your time going here, food sucks and it's staffed by a bunch of stoners and high school drop outs.

Having eaten an awful lot of barbeque over my life all over the country, I like to think that I have experienced some of the best there is to offer. The absolute best in the Baltimore area is, without question, Andy Nelson's. Fast Eddie's is not on the same level, but is still pretty good for what they provide. We had the Beef BBQ and the Pork BBQ, and both were very tasty. Reminded me of something our Grandmother would make. Baked beans were also good (if you like sweet with bacon). Will return with expectations in check.
(3)Ashley F.
It was decent... A little bit dry... Ok for local pit beef... but Chaps in Baltimore will always be first!
(3)Andrew E.
Great food for a reasonable price. I recommend any of the meats they cook there, they are all good. I don't recommend the breaded chicken sandwich, the chicken is not made there.
(4)Jonathan L.
good bbq'd pork and sausage, very good burnt ends. Reasonably priced for what you get.

One of the better BBQ shacks I've eaten at in the Atlantic region. I didn't try everything, obviously, in one visit! We took some back to our hotel for the next day, as well as eating lunch there. The "burnt ends" are something I rarely, if ever, have seen in the NE (much less actually order), here I had no complaints. The pork sandwich I had was very good, too. Looking forward to trying more on the menu (link posted below). The beans had bacon and onion, not just the canned Campbells "pork" and beans, with the little blob of fat. The beef brisket was very tender and not overly smoked and the couple of sauces offered were good and not watery. I would have liked a more choices as far as the sauce. I usually don't eat chicken at BBQ joints, so I can't comment on that item. The locales that specialize in BBQ often have patrons that prefer chicken fried. I would actually rather eat BBQ turkey, anyway. The service was very friendly and fast. I found about it on Yelp, so thanks ya'll! I normally try to get seafood when near The Bay, but after seeing the reviews I had to try it. The worst part is that they are almost a two hour drive from where we live.... fasteddiespitbeef.com/Me…

I love pit beef and my husband heard about this place about 40 minutes from our house. I had a twisted and then we went to the lighthouse for a walk. We went back again and for pit beef sandwiches and fried pickles. If I visited this location twice in the same day, then you know the food is good. It is also cheap. I was stunned by the prices. I will be going back again and again.

Been here several times and have tried a variety from the menu. The best would have to be the bull dog. It is pit beef with sausage in the middle with cheese.my son usually gets the bacon cheeseburger with the fries. It is big. We have never left there feeling hungry. The downside is I think it is a little on the pricey side though.
(4)Emma H.
This place is soooo good. The pit beef is always cooked to perfection and the taste is so simple but elegant. After stuffing it yourself with horseradish and onions; they have an array of sauces to unlimitly pour on top. This place is very fast and cheap aswell.

Great food get the pit beef!!!!!!!!!
(5)t w.
yumm medium pit beef with horseradish...craving right now too bad I live 1.5 hr away! That is my only negative wish they had location closer to me. Their ff are really good - my friend had crab chowder said it was amazing and the turkey sandwich was moist and flavorful.
(4)Alyssa M.
I love stopping at Fast Eddies when I'm in the area, driving to the beach or traveling on I-95. Love their pit beef sandwiches!! Moist and flavorful. Friendly staff that seems to be the same over all these years. Great fries and plenty of condiments top things off. Wish we had one closer to us in Pennsylvania!
(5)Yoko K.
Their crab fries are pretty good! Fries are freshly cut, with their crab soup poured over it? It's good. As for the sandwiches... Asked for medium rare pit beef, came out totally well done and dry. Bbq beef sandwich, while my husband thought it was good, it was drenched in too much bbq sauce and the beef wasn't very tender. There was another customer that was ordering extra rare when I was there, maybe that's what I should've done to get the "medium rare" order... Friendly service. Lots of condiments is a plus!

Eddies is the crown jewel of my Cecil county lunch rotation. Wings are outstanding. Brisket average. Cheap and plentiful.

I got a pork BBQ sandwich and my fiancé got a burger. They pulled his burger out of what looked like a scrap bucket and put it on a cold run of the mill bun, the fries tasted reheated and half of them were burned from what we are assuming is from reheating via the fryer. Despite this, the sandwiches were okay, and might have even been good (and even hot) had we not stopped in so close to closing. However for two cold sandwiches, old reheated fries, and a side of slaw was 25 bucks... We over paid by a lot. If we are paying normal hour prices, we expect the food to go with it. We would like to try it again during the mid day, see the food is better, if we ever do, I will change this review accordingly.
